The Hoops Window caught up with 6’11″ C Adam Woodbury out of Sioux City (IA) on Tuesday for his thoughts on what he will bring to the next level, how the recruiting process is going and more.
Adam Woodbury quickly made a name for himself with his impressive showing at the Spiece Run n Slam tournament. Since then, Adam Woodbury is continuously showing off a improved skill set and a willingness to put in the work to reach his goals.
Our Q & A with Adam Woodbury follows:
What would you say you are concentrating on improving in your game during the AAU/Camps this summer?
“Definitely working on my post moves and trying to expand my game further out”
What position do you see yourself playing day one on campus?
“Right now more of a five but I feel I have time to improve to be able to step out and face up as a combo 4/5″
What is it like playing sometimes 7 to 8 games in a weekend for AAU?
“It’s a lot of fun being able to play with my team. Playing in all these games and tournaments has made me a better player“
How do you get up for a game? What is your pre-game routine?
“Always take a pregame nap, get some foot to eat and listen to my ipod”
What is on your play-list?
“I am a rap and hip hop guy. I like Drake, J Cole and Wiz”
What camp/aau event has been the most fun and enjoyable?
“I had a great time and learned a lot of stuff from the NBPA Camp, Amare, and Lebron and I’m excited for the Peach Jam to be the funnest AAU event”
Is the recruiting process wearing on you at all? How does all the new attention feel?
“Not at all. I’m still having fun with everything and it’s exciting to see some of my handwork paying off”
Who have you recently heard from? Any new offers?
“I talked to Coach Williams from UNC recently and my latest offer was Wisconsin”
Any timetable on a decision? What are you looking for in a school?
“I’m going to narrow my list by the start of school and decide by the start of the season. I am looking for a schools style of play, the coach, my teammates and getting an education”
